Hi! I'm Karen Moore
As the founder and owner of Mountain Rest Realty I believe ethical real estate practice is what will set this brokerage apart from all others. The Golden Rule is what distinguishes a REALTOR from a real estate agent. As proclaimed by the NAR Code Of Ethics, "No inducment of profit and no instruction from clients ever can justify departure from this ideal." I believe this. We practice this.
After 5 years of working as a real estate agent I knew what I liked and disliked about the industry. I found it easy to be swept up in the multitude of business tools promising success. However, I found only confusion and dissatisfaction. Taking my own advice of "If you want to be a good seller (buyer), think like a buyer (seller)"; I chose to explore "If I want to be a good agent I need to think like a client". On that journey, I found my answer.
Mountain Rest Realty was born out of the need for simplicity. So, I focused on the foundation of this industry and embraced the SC Real Estate Commission and its purpose: "to regulate the real estate industry so as to protect the public's interest when involved in real estate transactions". Simply put, I beleive when I protect my clients' interests we will be successful.
